Dzanan Musa flew to Spain this morning to sign a contract with Real Madrid according to Bosnian TV network N1. The 23-year-old swingman has been widely reported to be close to a deal with the Spanish powerhouse during the past weeks.

Musa is expected to officially become a Real Madrid player in the next 48 hours. The Bosnian mega-scorer comes from a superb season in the Spanish ACB League with CB Breogan, during which he averaged 20.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists and was named MVP, even though his team didn’t make the playoffs.

Two days ago, Musa completed his obligations with the Bosnian national team in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in a triumphant fashion, by hitting the winning basket that sent his country to the next stage of the tournament.

So far in the offseason, Real has extended the contract of captain Sergio Llull while parting ways with forward, Jeff Taylor, forward Trey Thompkins and guard Thomas Heurtel. The club is expected to bring back veteran star guard Sergio Rodriguez and also keep guard Fabien Causeur.
