Jordan Loyd is officially the newest member of Monaco as the club announced. Per Eurohoops sources, Loyd signed a two-year deal which includes opt out clauses for the summer of 2023.

Per the press release: AS Monaco is pleased to announce the signing for the next two seasons of Jordan Loyd (1.93m, 28 years old) from Zenit, where he has just won the VTB League title against CSKA Moscow, after being down 3-1 in the series. Completely up against the wall, he reversed everything in his path with his teammates.

The native of Atlanta, Georgia, played in the NBA during the 2018-2019 season and competed in 11 games there under the colors of the Toronto Raptors. He is therefore an NBA champion.

After that, he chained two seasons back to back, first in Valencia, then at Red Star Belgrade under the leadership of… Sasa Obradovic. Renowned for his scoring skills, Jordan Loyd joined the ranks of Zenit last year, with which he achieved great performances in the Euroleague (13.2 pts, 4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 14.4 evaluation).

Unfortunately, his team’s momentum was halted mid-flight following the ousting of Russian clubs from the competition.

With Mike James, Elie Okobo, and now Jordan Loyd, the Monegasque backcourt will look great next season. This undeniable mix of offensive talents will weigh heavily in Asemist performances.
