Olympiacos got the 88-77 over Basketball Champions League contender Hapoel Holon at the preparation tournament “Neofitos Chandriotis” in Cyprus in a game that was much tenser than the final score suggests.

Alec Peters with 15 points, all in the third period, and Giannoulis Larentzakis with 13 points, while captain Kostas Papanikolaou and Shaquielle Mckissic with 10 points each also contributed big.

Joe Ragland had an admirable double-double for the losing side with 13 points and 13 assists, while Kenny Kadji scored 16 points.

Olympiacos started the game with a 13-2 run thanks to Thomas Walkup hitting three three-pointers, but at halftime, Holon had tied the score at 37 and even led by two in the fourth period (67-65).

However, Olympiacos reacted with a 12-0 run (77-67) and Holon couldn’t get back into sticking distance. The Reds didn’t have Kostas Sloukas with them for the trip to Cyprus.
