The clock is ticking. The first-ever EuroLeague derby between Partizan Mozzart Bet and Crvena Zvezda is 24 hours away. The Argentinian playmaker of the red and whites, Luca Vildoza, will again be under the spotlight against his club’s archrival.
He led Dusko Ivanovic’s team to a 90-74 win against Belgrade rivals just last week with 19 points, but he expects a reaction from Zeljko Obradovic‘s squad.
“I expect another face of Partizan. They will try to change something, but we must be ready to do our job. We are working on the details and preparing. For the first time, a derby is being played in the EuroLeague, but there won’t be a big difference; a derby is a derby. The only difference is that we are playing away this time compared to the previous one. I expect it to be great“, Vildoza said.
Before the historic clash between Serbian powerhouses, one of the main topics is his fellow countryman’s potential arrival at Crvena Zvezda. Defending Serbian champions made an offer, and now it is the turn of Real Madrid to respond, as Eurohoops reported.
“I have not heard from Campazzo. I’ve heard stories, but I don’t know the situation. I am focused on the game and would be happy if he came. He’s a friend of mine, and that would be great, but I don’t know anything about it“, Vildoza stated.
Luca’s coach Dusko Ivanovic briefly commented about Campazzo joining his team.
“Campazzo, I know him well. Does he want to come to Zvezda? I have no idea, really“, the experienced coach noted.
