With the 2023-24 campaign of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in limbo, Partizan Mozzart Bet proposed a new home for fellow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participants in Belgrade.

Euroleague Basketball suspended the upcoming Regular Season Round 2 game between Maccabi and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in Italy due to the ongoing conflict in Israel.

Partizan president Ostoja Mijailovic addressed Shimon Mizrahi and the Yellows in an open letter, shared on the official portal of the team based in the capital of Serbia.

“In these sad moments, on behalf of Partizan Mozzart Bet, I want to express my deepest condolences to you and your people,” noted Mijailovic, “In difficult moments, I want to say Maccabi has a sincere friend in Serbia, who is ready to offer him a new temporary home with a heartfelt welcome to Belgrade.”

Maccabi was scheduled to visit Olimpia Milan on Thursday, but reportedly requested the Round 2 contest to be postponed, due to traveling issues connected to the current situation in Israel. Euroleague Basketball indeed suspended the game. Monitoring the situation can lead to more scheduling adjustments.

“If your club is forced to play games outside its country, Partizan Mozzart Bet is ready to provide training facilities, accommodation, and a venue for games,” added Mijailovic referring to Maccabi possibly moving out of Israel to continue the 2023-24 season.

In last week’s opening round of Europe’s premier club continental competition, the team based in Tel Aviv prevailed in the direct battle with Partizan.
