Following Naz Mitrou-Long’s departure to Olympiacos, Zalgiris is reportedly in search of his replacement. According to 15min reports, the Lithuanian champions have reached an agreement with Edmond Sumner.

The report suggests that Sumner is expected to land in Kaunas, but there’s also the possibility of Zalgiris waiting for the EuroLeague transfer window.

Sumner entered the NBA as the No. 52 pick with the Indiana Pacers in 2017, remaining in Indianapolis until 2022 when he signed with Brooklyn. Last summer, he had a deal with the Charlotte Hornets but was waived on October 24.

The 27-year-old has played 161 regular-season games in the NBA, averaging 6.2 points with 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists. His NBA career-high came in April 2023 when he scored 29 points against the Washington Wizards.
