Euroleague Basketball announced the venue for the approaching game between Anadolu Efes and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. The decision was based on the recommendations of both the Israeli and Turkish governments.

The order of the regular-season series of the Istanbul and Tel Aviv outfits was officially switched on Wednesday.

The two teams will meet behind closed doors in Belgrade instead of Istanbul in Round 14 of the Regular Season on December 14. According to the new schedule, Efes will host the Yellows in Sinan Erdem Dome in Round 26 of the Regular Season.

Per the press release: “The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 14 game between Anadolu Efes Istanbul and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will be played in Belgrade instead of Istanbul, with the contest now taking place at 20:05 local time on Thursday, December 14.

This decision has been taken considering the recommendations of both the Israeli and Turkish governments.

All Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv home games played in Belgrade will be behind closed doors until further notice.”

Playing home games in the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, the team coached by Oded Kattash will face ALBA Berlin tomorrow, Thursday. Moving to the next double-game week of the season, road games versus LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Virtus Segafredo Bologna are scheduled before the meeting with Efes.

A balanced record of 5-5 so far in the Regular Season places Maccabi in a five-way tie between the seventh and 11th place in the EuroLeague standings.
