Gianmarco Pozzecco is known for his over-the-top reactions, however this time around after the game with Partizan, he was soft-spoken and serious.

Speaking about the defeat, he added “we missed something and my club knows it”, implying that he has asked for changes or additions to the roster.

When asked directly about his future with ASVEL and the French reports about his incoming firing, he added: “I don’t speak French. Even if I read them, I don’t understand. More or less you have to ask my club. I am in touch with them, we started talking about what we have to do, and they know what I am thinking. but as a coach, I never complain. I try to do my job. This is a question you have to ask them, but that’s our life. When you work in sports, you know something can happen, we might go in different directions. So I cannot answer to you”‘.

Pozzecco was hired by the team on the 25th of October, after the start of the season, replacing T.J. Parker, the brother of team owner and Hall-of-Famer Tony Parker.

The team had a bad start and a change was needed but despite the change, ASVEL remains the punching bag of the competition with a 2-16 record.
