Partizan Mozzart Bet is contemplating a tribute match against the Golden State Warriors in honor of the late Dejan Milojevic.

The respected coach, and previously a highly decorated player, left a lasting impact on both Partizan and the Warriors, and now, the Serbian club is considering a special event to commemorate his legacy. Partizan’s president, Ostoja Mijailovic, shared the potential plan in an interview with the Serbian outlet Kurir.

We are considering organizing a match between Partizan and the Golden State Warriors in honor of Dejan Milojević in Belgrade. We want to host the game outdoors, similar to what we did at Tašmajdan at the beginning of this season,” said Mijailovic.

The proposed match between the EuroLeague and NBA teams could take place during the preseason.

That would be phenomenal for both clubs and Serbia. We will send them an invitation, and we are prepared to cover the expenses for the Golden State Warriors’ arrival and stay in our city. The event would be scheduled during the preseason. Dejan was beloved in that NBA team, and needless to say, he left an indelible mark on our club,” Mijailovic added.

Partizan previously paid tribute to its former player during an ABA League game against Mega, a team coached by Milojevic for eight years. The tribute took place in front of more than 23,000 fans at the Stark Arena.

Golden State Warriors, where Milojevic worked as an assistant coach since 2021, held an emotional ceremony before a recent match against the Atlanta Hawks. Head coach Steve Kerr delivered a touching speech about Deki, and players wore jerseys with his surname on the back.
