Olympiacos defeated Crvena Zvezda in a tight Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 33 battle in the Belgrade Arena and booked a place in the Playoffs.

The game was special for the Piraeus team’s guard, Giannoulis Larentzakis, who used the opportunity to get his hands on Milos Teodosic’s jersey after the game.

Milos is a great player. I like his style, and I respect him a lot. I read that this might be his last season somewhere, so I had to get his jersey. I was too young to meet him when he played for Olympiacos, but I remember crazy passes and great games. I really like him as a player, and it was an honor to play against him,” said the Greek basketball player for Meridian Sport.

Larentzakis also spoke highly about his former teammate, now Crvena Zvezda center Joel Bolomboy.

He plays very well because he is a great basketball player. I respect him as a player and as a person. He had a different role in Olympiacos, and when he played for us, he gave one hundred percent and helped us a lot to reach the EuroLeague final.”

Olympiacos defeated the Belgrade side without Nikola Milutinov and Filip Petrusev, who are recovering from injuries.

Nikola is a very good friend of mine. He’s finally back. I think he’ll return in the next game, which will be a big weapon for us. Filip is coming back from injury and will soon be with us. He has great talent and potential – he helps us a lot,” Larentzakis concluded.
