EuroLeague fines Panathinaikos, Ergin Ataman

EuroLeague Basketball announced that both Panathinaikos Athens and team head coach Ergin Ataman were fined for various incidents that occurred following Game 1 of the playoffs vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Per EuroLeague:

  • Ergin Ataman, Head Coach of Panathinaikos Athens, has been sanctioned with a fine of €30,000, for his public statement related to the performance of the referees following EuroLeague Playoffs Game 1, under Article 24.2.c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code
  • Panathinaikos Athens has been sanctioned with a fine of €30,000, for its public statement related to the performance of the referees following EuroLeague Playoffs Game 1, under Article 24.2.c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code
  • Ergin Ataman, Head Coach of Panathinaikos Athens, has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000, for his lack of compliance with the obligations towards media availability prior to EuroLeague Playoffs Game 2, under Article 24.2.k) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code
