Bellon keeps Mardy Collins away from Lokomotiv Kuban

The president of Strasbourg, Martial Bellon, confirmed the interest of Lokomotiv Kuban towards Mardy Collins and that the player’s agent has brought an offer from the club from Krasnodar. But he is not really fond of letting the player, one of the most important ones for his team, go to Russia. “There are few players in the transfer market right now and some are very expensive”, he said. “Unless we find a player to replace Mardy, he will stay in Strasbourg”, were Martial Bellon’s words.

This is not the first time that coach Giorgos Bartzokas wants to sign a player of Strasbourg and receives a negative answer. Back in November 2013, the Greek coach wanted to bring French center Alexis Ajinca to Olympiacos, but the plan did not came into fruition, since president Bellon had said that he will not let the player go to an other European team. Some months later, Ajinca left Strasbourg to sign for the New Orleans Pelicans, in the NBA.
