EuroLeague issued a statement regarding recent reports on clubs’ social media performance, clarifying the situation and sharing official viewership data.

According to EuroLeague, the leaked social media statistics came from a confidential and inaccurate report. The source of the leak is currently under investigation.

In light of the social media data published by several media outlets in Greece over the past weekend, Euroleague Basketball would like to issue the following clarification:

The data referring to social media views of each participating team, as published by various Greek media outlets, was extracted from a confidential report.

Euroleague Basketball is currently investigating the source of the unauthorized disclosure and will take all necessary measures to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.

The data that was leaked does not accurately reflect the social media video views of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participating clubs, nor the global figures of the League. The report shared with the 18 participating clubs contained inaccuracies due to inconsistencies in the underlying data.

The league shared accurate data based on Blinkfire Analytics, covering the period from July 1 to December 31, 2024, across Facebook, Instagram (excluding Stories), and X (formerly Twitter):
