The series between Panathinaikos and Anadolu Efes became the first in this season’s Turkish Airlines EuroLeague that requires a Game 5, and Luca Banchi is expecting a big night in Athens.
As the Anadolu Efes coach said after the final buzzer to EuroLeague TV: “Another game in the series was very close, and frankly, this series deserved to go to a fifth game. I think every basketball fan wants to see these two teams face each other again.”
Speaking about Efes’ win in Game 4, he added: ” I am proud of my team. We fought hard and were very focused. It was our last chance, so we had to do our best. Despite that, we stayed calm and won.”
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday at OAKA, with the winner taking a spot in the Final Four and facing Fenerbahce BEKO in the semifinal.
