Fenerbahce Beko shared an injury update for Tarik Biberovic.

The 24-year-old forward was diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament strain, the team announced on Sunday.

Eurohoops previously reported that Biberovic avoided a serious injury, namely surgery, in his left knee. He was hurt and forced to an early exit from Game 1 of a best-of-three series versus Turk Telekom in the Quarterfinals of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Playoffs 2025.

The Zenica native is expected to be sidelined for approximately three to four weeks, as noted by Bugra Uzar of Eurohoops Turkiye.

Beyond concerns for the team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius in the hunt for a back-to-back BSL championship, shortly after being crowned Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion for the second time in team history, the setback is followed by NBA teams as well. With the Memphis Grizzlies controlling his NBA rights since drafting him with the 56th overall pick in 2023, Biberovic has been officially confirmed as a candidate to finally complete the jump to the league based in North America during the offseason.

In the 2024-25 edition of the EuroLeague, the explosive forward went for 10.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per contest over 37 appearances, including seven starts. In the last seven years, he logged 117 games in Europe’s premier club continental competition. At the domestic level, he helped Fener rank first in the 2024-25 Regular Season and place as the first seed of the playoff bracket with 9.7 points per contest.
