With the end of the season in the LBA, as Milan lost to Virtus Bologna in the Semi-Finals, the adventure of Nikola Mirotic with the red-and-white side has come to an end.

As previously confirmed by Eurohoops, the 34-year-old forward has a two-year deal with AS Monaco and will move soon to the Principality to continue his EuroLeague career.

During the welcoming press conference of the new sports director, Daniele Baiesi, Olimpia Milano’s General Manager, Christos Stavropoulos, confirmed the rumors.

“Some time ago, Nikola Mirotic expressed his desire to live another experience elsewhere. He fought until the end,” he confirmed, as reported by Alessandro Maggi from Sportando.

This season, he has been averaging 17.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game over 30 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

The Greek executive also addressed the negotiations with Nikola Milutinov. The Serbian center ultimately extended his contract with Olympiacos.

“There was a moment when we thought he would sign with us. Then something happened, and he signed with another club,” he said, via Alessandro Maggi from Sportando.
