Misko Raznatovic defending Petrusev and calling coach Bartzokas “King Louis of France”

On the heels of coach Giorgos Bartzokas’ quotes about Filip Petrusev, agent Misko Raznatovic defended his client, accusing the Olympiacos coach of behaving like King Louis XIV of France.

Bartzokas stated that Petrusev, who has a contract with the Greek club but finished the season playing on loan for Crvena Zvezda, doesn’t wish to play for Olympiacos.

As he said, “Since we had signed Vezhenkov, he showed a completely dismissive attitude toward the team. He didn’t listen to anyone; he looked elsewhere; in his own way, he wanted to show us that he wanted to leave. It has nothing to do with his class, his talent, or how we treated him. If you ask me, I treated him like my own son, with love and everything. And suddenly, as soon as Vezenkov arrived, his behavior was to look away, to walk around on the court, and so on. So, that couldn’t be tolerated. Someone has to want to be here to show their talent. Filip wanted to go there, but history has shown that he changes teams every year.”

Raznatovic reacted with two posts on social media, mentioning the 18 points of Petrusev playing together with Vezenkov in the Greek Super Cup final this season, and also his solid performance in last season’s league finals, when Vezenkov was still in the NBA.

However, the Serb agent became even clearer when he tweeted the following: “This clarification was truly necessary, because Filip Petrušev genuinely felt affected by the false statement made about his attitude and relationship toward playing for Olympiacos!”

He added that Bartzokas is behaving like “King Louis XIV of France”: “Louis said I am the state and now we have somebody saying I am the club”.

According to Raznatovic, the problem with Filip Petrusev is the coach and not the club, so at this point it seems highly unlikely that the player will return to Greece, despite having one more year of contract.
