Kameron Taylor paid a contract buyout and left Unicaja, the team announced on Friday.

Per the press release: “The player Kameron Taylor has exercised his unilateral right of early termination of the contract that linked him to Unicaja, after paying his buyout. The shooting guard thus decides to end his time in Malaga, which has lasted 2 seasons in which he was proclaimed champion of the BCL twice (2024 and 2025), the Copa del Rey (2025) and the Intercontinental Cup and Supercopa in 2024.”

Fellow Liga Endesa club and Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant, Valencia later welcomed the 30-year-old winger.

Per the press release: “Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with American forward Kameron Taylor (1.98m, Hyattsville, Maryland, 10/05/1994, 30 years old) to join our men’s first team for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2027, after paying the buyout clause in his contract with his previous club, Unicaja.

The new “taronja” player was one of the standout performers for the green team in a season in which the Málaga side won four titles, with Taylor being named MVP of the Supercopa Endesa and selected for the All-Endesa League Second Team.

The American forward was Unicaja’s highest-rated player both in the Endesa League (11.9 efficiency rating) and in the Copa del Rey — which they also won — where he posted a 21.7 efficiency rating.

Across the 61 games he played during the 2024–25 season in all competitions, Taylor averaged 10 points with a 38.4% accuracy rate from three-point range, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, for an overall efficiency rating of 12.7.

In addition to his offensive contribution, Taylor also stood out defensively, recording the 10th-best defensive rating in the Endesa League (105.3 points allowed per 100 possessions while on the court) and ranking 11th in plus-minus (+5.3) in the competition.”

Over the last two seasons with Unicaja, the former Seton Hill standout upped his total of Basketball Champions League appearances to 48, including 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game in the 2024-25 edition of the top-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe, helping his side complete a back-to-back. In Spain’s Liga Endesa, he added 9.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest.

Before moving his talents to Malaga, his European career extended from starting in the lower divisions of Germany to s.Oliver Wurzburg, Pecsi VSK, Brose Bamberg, Hamburg Towers, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, SIG Strasbourg, and Girona.
