The “Stoiximan Aegean BallFestival”, hosted by EuroLeague legend Giorgos Printezis in his home Greek island of Syros, is in full swing.

Marquee names of European basketball like Dimitris Diamantidis, Thodoris Papaloukas, Marcelo Huertas, Luca Vildoza, and Bryant Dunston were present at the four-on-four games on Saturday; however, the new blood stole the show with Baskonia’s Nikos Rogkavopoulos stealing the show and being named the MVP of the day.

Rogkavopoulos is already mentioned as a target of Panathinaikos, he remains under contract with Baskonia with a buyout of 1,5M euros, and when asked about his future, he remained cryptic.

As he said when asked by Eurohoops about the reports concerning a possible move outside Spain: “These things don’t affect me. My job is to practice and play basketball. We will see how everything will unfold in the future, and everything will be discussed. To be healthy, that’s the important thing”.

Speaking about the visit to Syros, he added: “This is my second time coming to the tournament, we’re having a fantastic time!”

Rogkavopoulos also talked about his new look: “I’m trying to establish the mustache. My parents scold me for that (laughs). It’s a long story about where the whole mustache thing started. It brought me good luck in some games.”
