Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and Marcus Bingham Jr. separated on Tuesday.

The Israeli club announced the latest offseason departure and thanked the 24-year-old American center for his contributions during the 2024-25 season.

The native of Grand Rapids, a former Michigan State standout, joined the Tel Aviv outfit last November, after starting the previous season with Hapoel Netanel Holon. His first journey in the BKT EuroCup was limited to nine appearances with 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 0.7 steals, and 0.4 assists per contest en route to being crowned champion. He added 9.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 assists per contest in 16 games of Israel’s Winner League.

Coming out of the Spartans, Bingham signed with the Dallas Mavericks but was waived before the start of the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season and eventually sat out the entire season due to injury. Launching his professional career in Israel, he played for Hapoel Shoval Haifa in the 2023-24 campaign, before switching to Hapoel Holon and from there to Hapoel Tel Aviv.

With more roster adjustments projected to be completed over the next few weeks, the team coached by Dimitris Itoudis is preparing for the 2025-26 installment of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. With Tai Odiase and Igay Setev officially confirmed as new players, Daniel Oturu and Elijah Bryant are expected to move in from Anadolu Efes. Antonio Blakeney, Bruno Caboclo, Tomer Ginat, Yam Madar, Johnathan Motley, Bar Timor, and Ish Wainright are also under contract for the next season.
