Olympiacos and Kostas Antetokounmpo have agreed on a 1+1 contract, according to Eurohoops sources.

After presenting an offer, as previously reported by Eurohoops, the Reds reached an agreement with the 27-year-old center.

The deal, pending an official announcement, will boost the Greek portion of the roster as the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas prepares for the next editions of the EuroLeague and domestic competitions in Greece.

With Filip Petrusev expected to move his talents elsewhere for the next season, the younger brother of NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will provide an additional option inside the paint, among the backups behind 30-year-old Nikola Milutinov.

Kostas will bounce back in the EuroLeague and Stoiximan GBL, carrying the experience of 75 games played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, including 35 on the opposite side of the eternal rivalry of Greece, Panathinaikos Aktor. He has also logged 36 appearances in the top-tier division of the country with the Greens. Team success with Panathinaikos led to being crowned EuroLeague and Greek League champions in 2024.

In 2018, he was selected with the 60th overall pick of the NBA draft en route to 22 games played between spells with the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks. His stint with the Lakers was highlighted by capturing a championship in 2020.

Another championship campaign was in France, helping LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne top the 2021-22 edition of the Betclic Elite, besides introducing himself to the EuroLeague. He moved to Fenerbahce Beko for the 2022-23 campaign.

The most recent stop was with UCAM Murcia, at the bottom end of the 2024-25 season. Making his way to 14 games of Spain’s Liga Endesa, he averaged 4.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.2 steals per contest.

Representing Greece, his senior international career features action in the FIBA EuroBasket 2022, the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in Victoria in 2021 and Piraeus in 2024, and the Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2023 and EuroBasket 2025.
