Omari Moore signs with Valencia for the next season

After considering offers from EuroLeague teams, including FC Bayern Munich, Omari Moore ended up with Valencia.

He penned a one-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.

Per the press release: “Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with American combo Omari Moore (6’6″, Pasadena, California, September 18, 2000, 24 years old) to join our men’s professional roster for the 2025-26 season. The player has left South East Melbourne Phoenix of the Australian League to make his debut in the Euroleague and the Endesa League with Valencia Basket.

The player has experience in European basketball, having played last season with Darussafaka Basketbol Istanbul, where he finished among the best in the Turkish league in scoring (15.7 points, seventh), assists (5.5, sixth), and steals (1.3, seventh), becoming the third most valuable player in the Turkish League (17.2 credits) and the eighth most influential player in the tournament (358.1 on the Floor Impact Counter). He attended San Jose State University, where he played alongside Álvaro Cardenas, and in 2024 he was crowned champion of the Canadian league.”

The combo guard, a former San Jose State standout, emerged as the latest signing of the Taronges, heading to the 2025-26 editions of the EuroLeague and Spain’s Liga Endesa, following Neal Sako, Yankuba Sima, and Kameron Taylor. The list of other players under contract for the team coached by 64-year-old Pedro Martinez includes Matt Costello, Sergio de Larrea, Chris Jones, Ethan Happ, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui, Jean Montero, Jaime Pradilla, Nate Reuvers, and Nate Sestina.
