While he was expected to stay in Bayern Munich, Carsen Edwards will surprisingly leave the club, as he was just announced as an official addition by Virtus Bologna.

Averaging 20.4 points per game in the 2024-25 EuroLeague, he became Bayern Munich’s most prolific scorer all time in the competition, being named into the All-EuroLeague First Team as well.

In Germany, Carsen Edwards won back-to-back German championships, first under head coach Pablo Laso and in his latest experience with Gordon Herbert’s guidance.

This is Virtus Bologna’s fourth addition to the roster, as the black-and-white team has already announced the arrivals of Luca Vildoza, Derrick Alston Jr., and Alen Smailagic.

Prior to his move to Virtus Bologna, Carsen Edwards played two years in Bayern Munich and two years with Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague.

The Italian side is coming off a non-satisfactory campaign in the EuroLeague but has won the Italian Championship.
