FC Bayern Munich has added another piece to its backcourt, signing American guard Kamar Baldwin on a two-year contract with an option for a third season.
The 27-year-old arrives from Baskonia, where he played in both the EuroLeague and Spanish ACB.
Baldwin is no stranger to German basketball, having averaged 19 points per game with Göttingen in the 2021–2022 season. He now returns with bigger ambitions.
“I’m very excited about Munich. I want to win the BBL and help reach the EuroLeague playoffs,” said Baldwin, who is currently preparing for EuroBasket 2025 as Georgia’s naturalized starting point guard.
Bayern sports director Dragan Tarlac praised Baldwin’s leadership, work ethic, and versatility:
“We’re getting a player whose rise is far from over and who will fully commit to the Bayern family.”
After stints in Turkey, the G-League, Italy, and Spain, Baldwin brings scoring, playmaking, and defensive toughness to a Bayern squad aiming high in both domestic and European competitions.
