Richaun Holmes will play next season in Greece as Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos said on his IG account, adding that “we are done for this year”.

The deal was already reported, and according to Eurohoops sources, the player is expected to arrive in Athens on Friday (8/8) to pass medicals and complete the transaction.

Holmes, 31, will join fellow former NBAers Kendrick Nunn and Jerian Grant, playing for the 2024 EuroLeague champions.

A veteran of 492 NBA games, Holmes began his career with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015 after being selected with the 37th overall pick. He also played for the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and the Washington Wizards.

In 2024-25, Holmes averaged 7.4 points, 5.7 rebounds in 31 games over 17.2 minutes.
