The latest enhancement to the 2025-26 squad of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv brought in 25-year-old Borislav Mladenov.
The Bulgarian forward signed a three-year contract to join the training camp and undergo a full evaluation ahead of the new EuroLeague season, the team announced on Sunday.
After a serious knee injury and spending the last three years in the lower divisions of Italy, Mladenov returned to his home country for the 2024-25 campaign, splitting the National Basketball League season between Minyor 2015 and Levski. Scoring 21.2 points per contest, he ranked first on the scoring list. He added 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.
Representing Bulgaria, he suited up in the Pre-Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2027 and EuroBasket 2025, following his participation in Division B of the FIBA U20 European Championship 2019.
The Israeli club also announced the addition of Sandy Cohen on a short-term contract on Sunday. Stemming from the 2019-20 and 2020-21 journeys, the 29-year-old winger is a veteran of 29 EuroLeague appearances with Maccabi FOX / Playtika Tel Aviv.
Antonio Blakeney, Oz Blayzer, Elijah Bryant, Bruno Caboclo, Tyler Ennis, Tomer Ginat, Chris Jones, Yam Madar, Collin Malcolm, Vasilije Micic, Johnathan Motley, Tai Odiase, Dan Oturu, Guy Palatin, Itay Segev, Bar Timor, Ish Wainwright, and Yiftach Ziv were already on the roster for the team coached by Dimitris Itoudis.
Behind the selections to effectively combine domestic and continental duties, the Tel Aviv outfit will make its EuroLeague debut.
