Brandon Boston Jr. was officially sidelined by Fenerbahce Beko.

Following an early exit from Friday’s game versus Zalgiris, medical tests found a grade 1 left ankle sprain.

Updating his status on Sunday, the Istanbul outfit fell shy of projecting a recovery timeline for the 23-year-old winger.

Boston was hurt during the first quarter of the Round 2 fixture in Kaunas. An eventual loss forced the team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius to 1-1 at the conclusion of the opening double-game week in Europe’s premier club continental competition.

The former Kentucky standout lasted just over four minutes in his second EuroLeague showing. Playing 13 minutes in the first two games, he tallied five points, three rebounds, and one steal. Earlier professional experience amounted to 151 NBA games, spread between the Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans, after being selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 51st pick of the 2021 draft.

Scottie Wilbekin, undergoing knee surgery rehabilitation, and Arturs Zagars, recovering from a recent groin injury, were already on Fener’s injury list. Up next on the schedule is a Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season Round 2 home fixture opposite Aliaga Petkimspor on Monday, before bouncing back in EuroLeague with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet visiting at Ulker Sports Arena on Friday.

In the 2024-25 journey, Fenerbahce topped the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, BSL, and ING Turkiye Kupasi. Starting the 2025-26 season, the latest triumph was the domestic Presidential Cup. Besides a current 1-1 continental record, a narrow loss to Tofas launched the domestic league campaign.
