The second half of this EuroLeague double week is underway, and in EuroLeague Fantasy, we’re betting on another strong showing from Richaun Holmes — as well as on Baskonia’s lone bright spot, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot.
First things first: our previous recommendations, Milutinov and Dorsey, didn’t exactly reward our faith last round, putting up their worst performances of the season!
Coincidence? Maybe…
That doesn’t mean they belong straight in the trash bin — that’s for you to decide.
Join us in the Eurohoops League, now featuring 1,578 participants (thank you!), and see how things are shaping up!
Now, let’s talk about this round.
We’re putting our chips on Richaun Holmes in the matchup against Anadolu Efes, even though it’s shaping up to be a tough night for both Panathinaikos and their American center.
Holmes shined against ASVEL with a 33 PIR, his best performance so far in European basketball. Before that, in the previous three games combined, he had a total PIR of just 10!
Sure, it’s a risk — but he’s capable of a strong back-to-back, especially given his decade-long NBA experience and familiarity with playing multiple games in quick succession.
He’s priced at 12.4 credits, and while you might want to consider more affordable options like Daniel Oturu or Moses Wright (two of our earlier suggestions…), we’re sticking with Holmes in our lineup.
Now to Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot of Baskonia — or, as we might call him, the last man standing from Baskonia’s 0–4 start to the season. We don’t really care what the Basques are doing as a team — we care about the French forward.
At 9.6 credits and averaging 17.2 PIR, Cabarrot is an excellent value for what he’s bringing to the table. That’s why we’re adding him to our team — and thanks to his price, we can afford to keep stars like Kendrick Nunn and Sylvain Francisco on board.
