Virtus Bologna point guard Luca Vildoza and his wife, Serbian volleyball player Milica Vildoza, were reportedly arrested in Bologna on October 15, 2025, following an incident involving emergency medical personnel.

According to Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, the situation began when an ambulance was stopped on Via Calori near the PalaDozza arena to input an address.

Vildoza’s car approached, and he allegedly flashed his headlights at the emergency vehicle and verbally confronted the paramedics. The altercation reportedly escalated when the ambulance crew encountered Vildoza again on Viale Silvani, where he allegedly obstructed their path with his vehicle and grabbed a 54-year-old female paramedic by the neck.

Milica Vildoza is said to have intervened during the incident, allegedly pulling the paramedic’s hair. The situation attracted the attention of a Carabinieri patrol, and both individuals were detained by the police. They were subsequently arrested on charges of assaulting medical personnel.

The paramedic involved was treated at a local hospital and later discharged. Prior to the incident, Luca Vildoza had participated in Virtus Bologna’s EuroLeague game against Bayern Munich, contributing eight points and thee assists in 15 minutes of play.

The incident has drawn significant attention, and the local health authority, AUSL Bologna, has condemned the assault on medical staff.
