It was the Carsen Edwards show in Villeurbanne in Round 5 of the EuroLeague.

The American guard lit up the Astroballe, pouring in 36 points to propel Virtus Bologna to an 83–90 road victory over ASVEL.

Edwards was on fire all night, shooting 7/10 from two, 5/12 from deep, and 7/8 from the foul line.

Alessandro Pajola added 14 points, Alen Smailagić scored 13, and Karim Jallow contributed 10 for Virtus.

On the other side, Glynn Watson had a great game with 24 points, while Mbaye Ndiaye added 11 along with seven rebounds, and Nando De Colo finished with 10 points.

ASVEL had the lead entering the final period, but Virtus Bologna took over and turned the tables. With five straight points, Edwards pushed his team ahead 82–75 with 2:42 left on the clock, but Glynn Watson responded, trimming the deficit to 82–79.

ASVEL kept fighting, but it was all over after Pajola’s three-pointer and three consecutive free throws from Edwards in the final minute, giving the visitors a nine-point cushion — enough to secure the win.
