Arturs Zagars is once again on the injury list of Fenerbahce BEKO.
As the club announced, “Our player Arturs Zagars suffered an injury in the hamstring area during the Bayern Munich match on Thursday, October 16.
Following examinations at Medicana Ataşehir Hospital, a second-degree injury was detected in his right hamstring muscle, and his treatment has begun.
We wish Arturs Zagars a speedy recovery and look forward to his swift return to the team”.
This is already the second injury of Zagars since the start of the season, after being hurt in the groin.
Loaned to Wolves Twinsbet for the 2023-24 season, after signing a three-year contract with Fenerbahce, Zagars was part of the 2024-25 championship runs, amounting to first place in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and BSL, besides also winning the ING Turkiye Kupasi. Debuting in the EuroLeague, he averaged 5.9 points, 2.3 assists, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.4 steals per contest over 22 appearances, including 13 starts.
Representing his country in FIBA Tournaments, the Riga native was named in the All-Star Second Team of the FIBA World Cup 2023. He also suited up for the senior national team of Latvia in last summer’s EuroBasket 2025.
