Crvena Zvezda opened the 2025-26 EuroLeague season with two losses, but since Saša Obradović returned to the bench, the Belgrade team hasn’t stopped winning.

They notched their fifth straight EuroLeague victory, taking down ASVEL 79–65, even without Jordan Nwora.

The former NBA forward, who started the season strong, is recovering from a minor injury and could return against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Round 8. With him sidelined, and recently signed Jared Butler still to join the rotation, Chima Moneke took charge.

The former Monaco and Baskonia power forward delivered 24 points and seven rebounds for a PIR of 35, helping Crvena Zvezda improve to 5–2 in the standings.

Ognjen Dobrić and Semi Ojeleye added 11 points apiece, while Codi Miller-McIntyre contributed eight points and seven assists. On the other side, Melvin Ajinca led ASVEL with 13 points, and Mbaye Ndiaye added 10.

It was an even game until the final minutes of the first half, when Crvena Zvezda took control, closing the second quarter with a 10-0 run to build a 39-25 lead at halftime.

Early in the third period, the hosts extended their advantage, leading by as much as 60-36. Midway through the fourth, the scoreboard showed 71-47, and the outcome was already decided in the Belgrade Arena, with the French team only managing to trim the deficit by the final buzzer.
