Baskonia opened the 2025/26 EuroLeague season with six straight defeats, and things looked grim for the Vitoria outfit.

However, they bounced back in style, taking their third straight win after rolling past Virtus Bologna in Fernando Buesa Arena, with a final score of 87-76.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led the way for the winning team with 16 points, Hamidou Diallo followed with 14 points and six rebounds, while captain Tadas Sedekerskis added 13 points and five boards.

On the other side, Saliou Niang recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Mouhamet Diouf, Carsen Edwards, Karim Jallow, and Matt Morgan each added 10 points.

Baskonia started on a high note, taking an early 11–2 lead and going into the first break up 23–14. Midway through the second period, the hosts extended the advantage to double digits and went into halftime with a 46–34 lead.

Virtus fought back in a game of runs during the third period, closing the gap to 58–57, but the Spanish side responded with a 7–0 run to finish the quarter, entering the final 10 minutes ahead 65–57.

Baskonia quickly pushed the lead to 75–59. Virtus managed to trim the deficit to 78–70, but that was as close as they got. Baskonia pulled away again and secured its third consecutive victory.
