Real Madrid’s basketball section is set to record its largest-ever financial loss, estimated at €38 million for the 2025‑26 season, according to 2PlayBook.
The surge comes after a major summer overhaul. Player salaries alone are expected to top €49 million, a 26% increase from last year, driven by signings such as Trey Lyles, Chuma Okeke, Theo Maledon, David Kramer, Gabriele Procida, Izan Almansa, and Alex Len.
Despite the losses, Real Madrid expects overall revenue to grow by 5.4%, approaching €1.5 billion.
Looking ahead, the club is reportedly eyeing the NBA Europe project, which could increase revenues.
