Kenneth Faried will be Panathinaikos’ new signing. As Eurohoops reported, the former NBA player will complement Ergin Ataman’s frontcourt.
The Turkish coach confirmed it during the presser after the win against Peristeri in the GBL.
Faried will sign a deal until the end of the season, however the contract will be guaranteed for two months, as Ataman said, and after that they’ll decide if they can keep him for the rest of the season.
“Tomorrow we hope he’ll be in Athens. And after the medical test, if he is ready, we’ll try to use him in this double week”, said in Peristeri. “Faried is a player with a two-month guaranteed contract, and then we’ll decide if he stays with us or not”, confirmed about the new player.
With the injuries of Mathias Lessort, Omer Yurtseven, and Richaun Holmes, Panathinaikos needed a big man to boost the frontline. The 2024 champs have lost their last two games of the competition, against Crvena Zvevda and Monaco.
