EuroLeague Basketball announced that AS Monaco violated the league’s financial regulations and cannot register new players until the issue is resolved.

La Roca Team responded to the EuroLeague’s statement, clarifying that it is neither a sanction nor a final decision, just a provisional measure until the issue is resolved.

Per the press release: AS Monaco Basket confirms that it has been informed of a provisional measure adopted by the Finance Panel of EuroLeague Basketball, following a request from the Management Control Commission (MCC).

This measure, which temporarily restricts the Club from registering new players or coaches in EuroLeague competitions, is purely procedural and does not constitute a sanction or final decision.

The Club wishes to emphasize that it has always acted in full transparency and good faith, consistently meeting all requirements set by EuroLeague Basketball and other governing bodies. AS Monaco Basket has maintained a solid financial position and has always promptly satisfied every obligation towards all institutional partners.

We are confident that, as part of the ongoing process, the Club will provide all the necessary documentation and clarifications requested by the relevant EuroLeague bodies. AS Monaco Basket fully respects the principles of Financial Stability and Fair Play and will cooperate closely with the Finance Panel to resolve this matter swiftly and definitively.

The Club remains entirely focused on its sporting objectives and on continuing to represent the Principality of Monaco with the same professionalism, integrity, and ambition that have always defined the Roca Team.
