Valencia is one of the best offensive teams in the entire EuroLeague, and they proved it once again.
The superiority of the three-point percentage (16/41) was key to the victory.
Pedro Martínez’s team gets its sixth (6-4) Euroleague victory after beating Real Madrid (89-76). Sergio Scariolo’s team is now 5-5 in the competition, after four wins in a row.
Omari Moore (16 p.) and Nate Reuvers (14 p.) were Valencia’s top scorers. Sergio de Larrea was out for the Spanish team. In Real Madrid, only Trey Lyles showed up again (23 p.), and Facundo Campazzo added 15 points.
Valencia imposed their pace with some important three-pointers in the first quarter (22-21). Although Theo Maledon played well off the bench, Omari Moore and Darius Thompson led the attack in the first half (45-38) with ten made three-pointers at the break.
Even with the best version of Lyles, Valencia kept doing what they do best to secure the win (89-76) and stop Real Madrid’s winning streak. Real had a tough night from beyond the arc (7/28).
