After mishandling a 20-point advantage, Fenerbahce Beko rebounded with an 84-75 victory versus Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv in SAP Garden.

The reigning EuroLeague champions held the Yellows to 1/13 from beyond the arc in the first half to open a sizable advantage. However, a solid finish was required after squandering the big lead in the fourth quarter.

“It’s a way for us to understand that for 25 minutes, we were OK. We weren’t playing amazing, but very decent basketball. And then in ten minutes we lose totally our concentration, and we let them back in the game,” mentioned head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius in a postgame interview.

With a fourth consecutive win across all competitions, his side improved to 5-5 in the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season. Stretching from Saras, being a former Maccabi player with back-to-back EuroLeague championships, connections to the opponents on Tuesday stretched to Wade Baldwin IV and Bonzie Colson switching from Tel Aviv to Istanbul in 2024.

“This was a tough Maccabi team, but we found a way to get a win,” said 29-year-old Baldwin, after registering a team-high 17 points.

Colson added 12 points, while Devon Hall and Talen Horton-Tucker tallied 15 and 13 points, respectively. Besides Scottie Wilbekin (knee), Arturs Zagars (hamstring), and Jilson Bango (knee) on the injury list, Melih Mahmutoglu and Mert Emre Eksioglu were unavailable.

On the losing side, Roman Sorkin scored a game-high 22 points and extended a double-digit scoring streak to eight games, but he was unable to prevent falling to 2-8 with a fourth loss in a row.

“I am proud we came back in the game, even though we couldn’t buy a shot in the first half. We were there. That’s very important. Again, we had a chance to win a game,” recapped Oded Kattash.

Recent signing Gabriel Lundberg is expected to debut next week. Clifford Omoruyi was also out of the lineup for the Round 10 contest. Midway through the third quarter, shortly before a crazy comeback, Oshae Brissett suffered a knee injury and did not return.

Staying in Munich for Round 11, Fener faces Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, with Maccabi moving to Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall for a meeting with Baskonia. Both contests are scheduled on Thursday.
