Milan prevailed over ASVEL (80-72), with coach Peppe Poeta getting his first EuroLeague win.

Armoni Brooks with a EuroLeague career high of 23 points and five made threes made things happen.

Leandro Bolmaro had 15 points, still this was a game more about who was missing than those who were present.

Milan didn’t have coach Ettore Messina and Shavon Shields due to flu-like symptoms, Marko Guduric was a late scratch due to muscle fatigue, while injured Zach LeDay, Lorenzo Brown, and Ousmane Diop were also out.

On the other side,  Nando De Colo, Shaquille Harrison, Melvin Ajinca, Edwin Jackson, and Thomas Heurtel are still missing, evening the odds.

Glynn Watson with 25 points and Armel Traore with 19 points tried their best for the guests.

Milan opened the game leading 18-9 after the first period, and kept an eight-point advantage at halftime (40-32)

ASVEL trimmed the lead to three points (49-46)  and closed the third quarter down by five (56-51).

With the game on the line, Giampaolo Ricci and Brooks made two important threes (66-57), but ASVEL still made it a four-point game (66-62).

Brooks scored again from beyond the arc twice in a row (72-64), and ASVEL couldn’t recover after that, losing the chance to make it a one-possession game in the closing seconds.
