Keenan Evans underwent surgery in the United States.

Olympiacos updated the status of 29-year-old combo guard on Tuesday morning, shortly following his serious injury in Round 10 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.

“Keenan Evans underwent surgery today (18/11) in the United States for a ruptured left Achilles tendon.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Keenan! You’ll come back to the court even stronger!”

Facing his former team on November 12 in the Peace and Friendship Stadium, Evans was hurt in his first EuroLeague appearance since the end of his 2023-24 campaign with Zalgiris. He lasted only 2:01.

The ruptured left Achilles tendon followed previous setbacks, including a patellar tendon rupture in May 2024 with the Kaunas outfit in domestic action. This limited him to the injury list from the beginning of his stint with the Reds until his recent return in Greece’s Stoiximan GBL Regular Season. Previously, in January 2023, he suffered a torn Achilles tendon, which sidelined him for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

The former Texas Tech standout is a veteran of 85 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition. In 2021-22, he introduced himself with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, helping the Israeli club reach the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs. After the next two years at Zalgiris, he joined Olympiacos on a three-year contract in 2024.

Earlier in his professional career, Evans suited up for Hapoel Haifa and Igokea m:tel, following one G League season with the Delaware Blue Coats and Grand Rapids Drive.
