Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv updated the injury list on Monday, heading to a meeting with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on Wednesday.
After an injury in a domestic game on Sunday, 28-year-old American point guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. has been projected to sit out approximately six weeks with a torn ligament in his foot. He will be reevaluated in about three weeks.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Lundberg is set to follow the Yellows to the Serbian capital, after previously joining the daily practice schedule. He has been labeled as a game-time decision for the upcoming Round 13 fixture of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.
Also, T.J. Leaf, who was ruled out of the Round 12 opposite Virtus Bologna due to a calf muscle strain, will be reevaluated on Tuesday.
Besides injury setbacks, the Maccabi management has been pondering the future of the head coach Oded Kattash, with discussions including a meeting after a convincing win over Hapoel Netanel Holon in Round 7 of the Israel Winner League Regular Season on Sunday. The 51-year-old play-caller acknowledged rumors about his departure, but did not directly address them in a postgame press conference after leading his side to a 6-1 W-L tally in the domestic league.
In Europe’s premier club competition, a 3-9 record is tied for last place on the standings, creating a three-game distance from the Play-In Showdown zone, and disappointment across the fanbase and management. The next team outing is the last before the international break.
