After a strong start to his 2025-26 journey, Hamidou Diallo has left Kosner Baskonia.
Introducing himself to the EuroLeague, the 27-year-old American winger averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest over 13 appearances, including 12 starts.
Looking to pursue other options, he reached a deal with the Vitoria-Gasteiz outfit to buy out the remainder of his contract and become a free agent, the team announced on Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, Baskonia officially signed Rytas captain Gytis Radzevicius for the rest of the season. The Vilnius native will debut in the EuroLeague following six straight years and 56 appearances in the Basketball Champions League, including 11.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in ongoing Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.
Reacting to his midseason move and the departure from his hometown team, the 30-year-old winger shared an emotional message.
“I want to say a sincere and big thank you to the entire Rytas Vilnius family. Vilnius is and always will be my home, and representing my hometown was a huge honor and responsibility for me, which I cherished every day,” said Radzevicius.
“I feel that the time has come to take the next step in my career and accept a new challenge. I want to sincerely thank the entire Rytas organization, coaches, teammates, and, of course, the fans. Your support has meant a lot to me. Thank you for everything. A part of my heart will always remain here,” he added.
Meanwhile, the BCL participant announced a deal with Arturas Gudaitis to extend his contract until the end of the 2026-27 season and also named him the new team captain.
