Željko Obradović resigned after four and a half years at Partizan, and despite a turbulent week, the team found a way to secure a much-needed win.
Partizan defeated Bayern Munich 92–85 in EuroLeague Round 14, snapping their losing streak in the first game since Obradović’s exit, with Mirko Očokoljić acting as interim head coach.
The night began with an emotional tribute from the stands, as fans displayed photos and banners honoring Obradović throughout the Belgrade Arena.
It took some time for the atmosphere to reach the usual Partizan intensity, but once Duane Washington and Tyrique Jones found their rhythm, the crowd responded. Energized by the support, the team pushed through and closed out the win.
Duane Washington led Partizan with 22 points and six assists for a PIR of 31, one of his best outings for the club. Tyrique Jones added a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double (PIR 27), Isaac Bonga scored 10, and Nick Calathes posted nine points with four rebounds and four assists.
For Bayern, Spencer Dinwiddie scored 25 points, followed by former Partizan captain Vladimir Lučić with 17. Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 11, while Johannes Voigtmann finished with 10 points and an impressive 18 rebounds.
