Barcelona outlasted Crvena zvezda in Belgrade, snapping the Serbian team’s seven-game home winning streak.

Xavi Pascual’s side earned an important victory, with Kevin Punter adding 14 points, including a crucial three-pointer in the closing minutes.

After the game, he spoke about the key elements behind Barcelona’s win in the Serbian capital.

Staying poised, being confident in everything we do, and not letting the crowd get involved,Punter told Sport Klub.

The American guard has a long and complicated history in Serbia. He played for Crvena zvezda in the 2019/20 season before spending three years with Partizan from 2021 to 2024, even wearing the captain’s armband during his time in black and white.

That background ensures he is always met with a heated reception from Crvena zvezda fans — and after last night’s win, he answered back with a middle finger.

People are always calling out my name, saying crazy stuff to me. All you saw was me putting the middle finger up, but you should be hearing the other stuff. Everybody knows what was being said — I don’t have to repeat it on camera,” Punter concluded.
