Armoni Brooks had a stellar career night with 26 points on 8/14 threes, and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan got the win over Panathinaikos.
The final score was 96-89 as Milan has an 8-7 record, just one win behind the Greeks, who dropped to 9-6.
Brooks was the star of the show, while Zach LeDay with 15 points and Shavon Shields with 13 did their part, and the absence of still-injured Lorenzo Brown ended up being a footnote.
Kostas Sloukas, with 19 points, and Kendrick Nunn, with 17, were the leading scorers of the losing side
Panathinaikos closed the first period with a five-point lead (26-21), but Milan, with a 15-5 run, turned things around (36-31) and extended their advantage to 16 (52-36) after four straight threes by Brooks, who already had 20 points.
The halftime score was 54-44 for Milan, which opened the third period with a 13-4 run (67-48) and flirted with a 20-point advantage. With the seventh three of Brooks for the night and two free throws by Leandro Bolmaro, Milan got a 23-point lead (80-57), and the game was practically over.
Panathinaikos attempted to respond with a 9-0 run entering the final period (80-66), even trimming the lead to seven (95-88) entering the last minute, but it was too little, too late.
