Ergin Ataman is known for his mind games, and after losing on the road to Milan, he wanted to make things interesting.
As he said in the press conference: “Unfortunately, we showed that we are not such a great team that we think we are one of the favorites in this Euroleague, because we were unable to stop this great offensive game of Milan”.
Considering that Panathinaikos is hosting the EuroLeague Final Four, this is an alarm for the team, with Ataman praising Milan: “This was their night, not ours, and they had great motivation”.
Speaking about the game, he elaborated: “Milan played a great game. After the first quarter, we completely lost our defensive balance with the shots of Armoni Brooks, who had a great game. Honestly, in the second and third quarters, they were 31 points ahead of us. The last quarter was chaos basketball. So they dominated the game. Congratulations to them”.
