Entering the next two-game week on the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season schedule, Olympiacos labeled recent signing Monte Morris as out for Tuesday’s game against Valencia in the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

Upon necessary medicals, the 30-year-old point guard is expected to join team practice from Wednesday, explained head coach Giorgos Bartzokas during Monday’s media session buildup to the continental contest versus Valencia.

The veteran of 477 NBA games, who officially joined his new side on Wednesday and landed in Greece on Sunday, is set to eventually debut in Europe’s premier club competition, with his first overseas experience as early as Round 17 of the EuroLeague Regular Season and a home fixture opposite LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne on Friday.

Besides Morris, Tyson Ward (leg), Shaquielle McKissic (thigh), Keenan Evans (left leg surgery), and Moustapha Fall (left knee) are sidelined by the Reds. On the upcoming opponent, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui (right leg) is expected to remain sidelined, and Braxton Key (right knee) is considered questionable to play for the team coached by Pedro Martinez at SEF.

“We have to get back on track, and our next opponent is a good team. It is evident from the standings, how they play, stats, but also from my personal appreciation of the coach. I believe he’s a very good coach,” mentioned Bartzokas, referring to Martinez and his work at the Taronges.

At 10-5, Valencia sits second on the EuroLeague standings, trailing leader Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv by one game. Olympiacos ranks eighth behind an 8-6 record.
