Playing on the road against Olympiacos and without injured Nando De Colo, things were bound to be hard for LDLC ASVEL.
When it was all said and done, the hosts got the easy 107-84 win, even without newcomer Monte Morris, who is expected to make his debut on Sunday in the Greek league.
Tyler Dorsey, with 22 points, was the top scorer for the hosts, who also got 21 points from Evan Fournier, 17 from Sasha Vezenkov, and 10 from Nikola Milutinov, who dominated early in the paint.
Frank Ntilikina added 11 points, and Donta Hall contributed 10 points.
Thomas Heurtel, with nine points and eight assists, did the best he could for the guests, who are in the last spot of the standings with a 4-13 record, while the Greeks improved to 9-7, having played one game less so far.
Shaquille Harrison with 11 points and Edwin Jackson with 10 were the top scorers of ASVEL, while big man Armel Traore was injured.
Olympiacos opened the game with a 26-14 score in the first quarter, ASVEL kept things relatively close until halftime (44-34), but the Reds led by 25 (71-46) in the third, and the game was over.
