Punter’s historic night earns him Round 17 MVP

Kevin Punter was named MVP of Round 17 after a historic performance in Barcelona’s 134-124 triple-overtime win over Baskonia.

Punter scored 43 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, while posting a PIR of 40—the first MVP honor since joining Barcelona and the fourth of his career.

He set a club record with 12 two-pointers on 19 attempts and went 4-of-7 from three and 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.

Other top performers included Baskonia’s Markus Howard and Dubai’s McKinley Wright, each with a PIR of 35. Howard scored 33 points with 6 assists, while Wright had 17 points, 15 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in Dubai’s 80-76 win over Anadolu Efes.

Barcelona’s Tomas Satoransky added a PIR of 32 with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Olympiacos’ Sasha Vezenkov posted a PIR of 28 with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
