In a postgame interview following Round 11 of Greece’s Stoiximan GBL Regular Season and a winning display for Olympiacos against Kolossos H Hotels Collection in the Peace and Friendship Stadium, Giorgos Bartzokas shared a positive update on 33-year-old Moustapha Fall.

“Rehab is going very well, according to the doctors. I have seen him sprinting on the court. We have to be careful, though. I believe he will return this season. I am not sure at what point in the year, but not any time soon,” said the 60-year-old head coach of the Reds, talking with Greek public television, ERT.

Fall was initially projected to perhaps sit out the entire 2025-26 season after suffering a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee during the Finals of the GBL Playoffs 2025 last June.

Besides the towering center, Tyson Ward (leg), Shaquielle McKissic (thigh), and Keenan Evans (Achilles) are also on the injury list of the Greek club, heading to the upcoming continental and domestic challenges.

“He recently had an MRI, and will have another over the next few days to see the bone, because he had a bone swelling, to what extent it has healed,” mentioned Bartzokas on the recovery process of 28-year-old Ward.

The next game on the schedule is in Round 18 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, opposite Virtus Bologna in Virtus Arena on Friday. At 9-7, the team coached by Bartzokas currently sits tenth on the standings, at the bottom end of the Play-In Showdown zone.

Domestically, an 11-0 tally leads the standings.
